Easy rides round up

Our last four Sunday easy rides have each had 11 cyclists, but a different combination each time.

Our last ride of January was from Wilmslow to Plumley garden centre, we split into 2 groups, with Rachel L leading the larger faster group, which included Mel, out with us for the first time (welcome!) I led a small, perfectly formed group which arrived about 10 minutes after the first group.

The following Sunday's ride was led by John J from Macclesfield to Brereton, for a lunch surrounded by caravans. John and I both made it out the Sunday after that, riding as a group of ten from Wilmslow to Beeches golf at Ollerton, where Vinnie met us to make the numbers up to 11. He had a cold, but Rachel tested her school acquired immunity by sitting with him.

Last Thursday we had a popup ride to the Wizard cafe, giving 3 of us some practice at riding up Artists Lane. Finally today we had 11 of us doing an easy version of the Circuit of the Edge. John J led 8 from the start at Tytherington, with a cafe stop in Alderley, where John B and I had arranged to meet them. Steve C also turned up there after a few Garmin issues, and joined us to make 11. We did not have any rain, but did have to go through a few floods!
