Sunday Easy Ride

This road ride is aimed at the cyclist who wants to start or return to club riding in an non-competitive environment. We keep the group together at all times, so we ride at the speed of the slowest rider.

We usually meet alternately at Broken Cross, Macclesfield (with a later pick up at Siddington crossroads) and Lindow Common, Wilmslow - please check the calendar each week. The rides are generally fairly flat and vary from 25 to 40 miles at an average speed of about 12 mph.

Our cafe stop halfway is an important part of this ride; this is first and foremost a social ride with a highly sociable group. Some weeks there are more riders on this ride than on any of our rides. You’re sure to make friends here.

We also run occasional longer and/or hillier rides, as well as weekends away.

MACCLESFIELD. Broken Cross public car park (not the Tesco one) on the corner of Gawsworth Road and Princes Way. Postcode SK11 8UB, use house number 1. Free car parking.

Rides that start at Broken Cross usually have a pick up at SIDDINGTON at junction of A34 and B5392. Follow B5392 from Broken Cross. Satnav: use Siddington, Salters Lane crossing A34. Nearest post code is SK11 9LH (but this is not the exact meeting point). Free car parking just to the north of the junction in layby or at Redesmere 1/4 mile north of junction.

WILMSLOW. Lindow Common car park. Turn left off A538 (Altrincham Road) into Racecourse Road (just before the Hickory Smokehouse). Postcode SK9 5LR.
