Sunday Easy Ride to Plumley

There were 9 of us out for a rather wet and breezy easy ride today.

Bev and Lisa joined us for their first Sunday ride - welcome! We had intended to take the shortest possible route to Plumley, but gremlins appeared to have got into John's route planning software and added in a scenic loop, so we ended up doing 13 miles to get there. That meant that we arrived in the 15 minute window when breakfast has stopped and lunch hasn't yet started. Fortunately for John the chef kindly agreed to do breakfast options for us. These came out promptly and were delicious, freshly cooked, soft bread, best so far this year. Bev left us after the cafe as she lives close by and had ridden out to Wilmslow. We had a tail wind for the route back via Knutsford, from where Gawsworth John, Phil B and Kirsten took the direct route back to Macclesfield. John, Jim, Simon G, Lisa and I completed the full route back to Wiilmslow, arriving back in time to miss the next big downpour.
