Ride report - Just a Ride

That has to be the coldest wettest ride ever!

Seven out last night, what a night.

At six thirty everything looked fine, a bit windy, a bit of drizzle, so Mark H, Nigel, Gary J, Richard R, Alison, myself and a welcome back on the bike to Sue E headed northwest towards the Aptly named Noah’s Ark Lane.

Suprisingly the lane, renowned for floods, was pretty dry, and now heading south through Marthall we felt the force of the wind in our faces and then the heavens opened. We ploughed on making our way through the boating lake once known as Catchpenny Lane, and by then we were past caring if we got our feet, or ankles, or even our knees wet so we just got on with it.

Well done to all who turned out, bravo to those who joined the 10-2-7 (well, Fred) in the Park Tavern.

Hopefully next one will be a bit warmer and drier!
