Frosty easy ride to Astbury
13 of us braved the close to zero weather with a gritted route to Astbury.
We set off together from Siddington, but Kirsten, John B and I soon seamlessly formed a slightly slower group off the back. We avoided any wet looking patches of road, descended carefully, and everyone arrived safely at the cafe. We were served fairly quickly, and the food was good (highly rate their cheese and mushroom oat cakes).
It was noticeably less frosty around Congleton, and on our return journey. It was a good test of our winter clothing, at least two of us strongly recommend M&S fleece lined black tights, and not just the women out on the ride!
