May Sunday Easy Rides

We had 5 Sunday easy rides in May, with the start point alternating between Wilmslow and Macclesfield. Fitter riders tend to ride out to the different start points to add extra cycling miles.

Sunday afternoon village hall teas have restarted at Great Budworth and High Legh, so some of our rides have started in the afternoon to accommodate that.

We usually split into two groups to accommodate the range of riding speeds and the number of riders. I tend to lead the slower group and find a few short cuts, with the aim of getting my group to the cafe first!

Turnout varies between about 8 and 16, and there are about 30 different Wheelers who come out with us at least once a month, so there is always plenty to chat about. We extend a warm welcome to new riders, including Alex, Harry and Hannah during May.

We are planning our June and July rides now, including the annual “pilgrimage” to Chester - keep an eye on the calendar. Photos below are from our May rides to Dunham, Grasslands, High Legh, Middlewich and Great Budworth.
