Easier Training ride @ 10-2-7

It didn't rain at all during last night's easier training ride at 10-2-7.

However as anticipated the roads were a right mess and there was a blustery headwind on the way out. Like last week we cut back via Batemill and thanks to Rich we had a local guide who forwarned us about the flood under the railway.
Despite the less than Ideal conditions we had a good chain gang, probably a bit slower than last week but safely back at Broken X well within schedule with 30 miles on the clock.
About a mile from the top of Pexhill there was a flood almost all the way across the road so for safety reasons the ride was neutralized. Opportunistically the clubs Audax champion Paul jumped and gaped the peleton; Chris, Boothy, Ant, and Fozzy, to cross the line 1st 🏁 . It must be different rules in Audax's 🤔
Yours truly was in no mans land but the ride of the night award goes to last up Andy 🏆. He did nearly all his turns coughing and wheezing just out of quarantine from a virus scare and to save his weary body every possible bit of energy he actually went in the drops. Now he's learning.
