Lark and Larkling Rides to Bagnall
Phil and I on the 44-mile Larkling Ride, joined by Simon at mile something. Russell, Darren, Steve and Raph on the 47-mile Lark Ride.
Larks and Larklings merged into one group on the outskirts of Bagnall in a display of synchronicity to gladden the heart of this jaded old ride leader.
Talking of which, with immediate effect we need one or preferably lots of Larklings to lead the ride as Simon is unable to do so for a few months. Let’s be clear: if no one volunteers, the ride will just have to be ‘turn up and decide on the day’. I do not want to produce and post both Lark and Larkling Rides each week. There are several dozen on our back catalogue if you don’t fancy making one up yourself (which I will teach you how to do if you need it). I may still lead a Larking Ride when Dave W and Steve P are leading a Lark Ride into the hills and I don’t reckon I will be able to keep up.
