2 - 5 ups @ 6

It wasn’t the intention as the cut was pretty random but the second group off was actually the stronger of the two on the 6@6 training ride last night.

Booth’y, two Christians, one Paul and one Steve had pulled Fred, Dave, Rich, Ant and Jill in and made the pass by just after the Red Loin, the last we saw of them was a red light disappearing up Goostrey Lane. By all accounts they had a good tempo’ed and disciplined ride keeping two minute turns going till well up Pexhill. Only Booth’y and Chris S made it to the official debrief 🍻 but they were both a bit reserved about the final order of things on the push for the line at Broken X so I guess it was Chris the younger, Steve and Paul on the podium but who was on the top step I don’t know.

In our group Jill and Dave have both missed a few weeks so were maybe a bit rusty but all rode well and we had a steady and also disciplined ride. Last week Rich was at the back and ended up off the back at cowshit corner, this week the reverse was the case as he was at the front there as he was also more than anyone else on the push up Pexhill 💪. It finished Rich🥇and Ant 🥈together, about 20 or 30 seconds to Fred 🥉with Dave and Jill both up in pretty short order.

Jill got the award for best prepared rider for carrying a bubble jacket on the back of her bike for deployment if it got a bit chilly during the post ride analysis session and Ant gets the award for best selfie.📸.
