High Alert At 6-o-Clock

Cheshire East is on high alert and the 6 @ 6 training ride kept it’s sporting and social activity outdoors and in groups of six or less strictly in compliance with tier two yesterday evening.

Cheshire East is on high alert and the 6 @ 6 training ride kept it’s sporting and social activity outdoors and in groups of six or less strictly in compliance with tier two yesterday evening.

Group two had a more eventful ride than the first group off. Ant, Vinney, Christian S, Christian A, Colin on his second outing with us and Frankie on his first both rode strongly and hopefully will both keep coming out and improve riding in a group. Unfortunately Vinney who seemed to be going well enough decided he needed an early bath halfway through the ride , no matter former 10-2-7 regular Bennett was on hand to come on as a super sub for the rest of the ride, let's hope now he knows what he’s been missing he makes it to Broken X for 6pm from now on.

For group one all went very well, yours truly called the change’s and it couldn’t have gone more slickly until Rich who has missed a few weeks had a bit of a moment on cowshit corner and lost the wheel’s just as we were winding ourselves up for Pexhill. There followed a bit of a shake up on the lower slopes, Booth’y was to frisky for his own good, made a tactical error and jumped out of turn over Paul and myself who were still in two minute turn mode, but he was fading by the top of the long ramp after Bubblytex and Paul was past and gapping him by Bearhurst Lane and that’s how it ended up at the top.

The second group kept it all together taking two minute turns a lot further up Pexhill untill Chris A pulled of the front for the push up the last few undulations to the top with Chris S in hot pursuit.

Group one was able to see group two cross the finishing line a couple of minutes after us from our outside seat’s at the Packhorse Inn, high alert tier two has some advantages, but not for long . My round next week.
