Wednesday Club Run to Betley
With the prospect of a rain free day there were 8 starters at South Park. Dave H made a welcome return to his ride.
Then there were 9 when Simon dovetailed in with excellent timing south of Astbury. On the return the group reduced to 7 as 2 went their own ways. At the 10 miles to go distance Dave cleverly took an alternative route to ensure he headed the peloton in the last 5 miles. Alas fresh hedge cuttings on a lane resulted in a puncture for him. He ordered us to continue whilst he dealt with thorny problem. The Rainow contingent of the MW showed their strength by having 3 riders in this week's peloton.
