Saturday Club Run To Hulme End
There was four thousand seven hundred feet of downhill on the club run to Hulme End which all went quite well.
There was also some flatish bits and some uphill bits but they went quite well to.
Greg and Roger were a bit camera shy so they went their own separate way from Clulow Cross and rejoined us after the interval. So the ride out over the Gun, though Thorncliffe, Onecote and Butterton then along the Manifold Valley starred; Alison, Rachel, Simon, Steve and Pete with Fred in the directors chair.
After the cafe we headed up to Royal Cottage then with a bit of a tailwind it was a good chance to practice for the forthcoming freewheel competition down to Gradbach. The official route went up to the twin tower’s (Nabb’s) but keeping up the Saturday afternoon tradition of making it up as we go along we opted for the longer option of carrying on up the Clough then back through the Forest via Standing Stone.
