Easy Sunday Morning Charity Ride 29 Sep
The rain held off for most of the Sunday Morning Charity Ride in aid of Heart UK
We may have got a bit wet at the end but were rewarded by a selection of delicious cakes baked by Sue!
11 of us set off around the lanes of Marton, Swettenham, Goostrey, Peover until we had a mutiny at Redesmere. Dismayed by the lack of cafe stop en route, which would have been the norm for the Sunday ride, certain members of the group were tempted by the waft of bacon butties from the van at Redesmere…
Keen to get back to the warm and dry of Gawsworth Village Hall before the rain came, the rest of us continued on and almost made it back dry but not quite.
Particular well done to those who then went out again for the afternoon ride. I for one went home for a little rest.
Rachel.
