The Steady Training Ride Has Started
Last Mondays 14th April was the third Steady Training Ride of the year and the only thing that was wrong was we had no new participant’s.
But eight is enough for a good chain gang so Jo, Mick, Pete, Mark 1, Mark 2, Kevin and Ant rolled down to Siddington X roads and your’s truly didn’t have to tell anyone what to do.
Somewhere around there we were joined by partarider’s Carl and Fozzy, It’s ok though they were in for the main event; Siddington to Siddington and a ten up is definitely better than a eight up, a couple more going through towards the of the circuit in the wind was helpful. Even though it was a harder ride than the previous week overall it went very well, there’s always room for improvement but all worked pretty well and got back to the bottom of Pexhill together. Not so much together at the top but that’s normal 😤 😎.
Two weeks ago for the first one it was a seven up and number’s doubled the week after to fourteen so turnout’s have been good. Rider’s have mostly been experienced and more senior member’s. Not exclusively though and the ride is for everyone to improve or in the case of most of us try and keep our cycling fitness, plus importantly to practice good group riding and discipline.
It’s Easter next Monday but the ride will still be on, see you all then for a not to hard flat 30 miles.
