Lark Ride to High Legh

My brief was clear: deliver 2 (No.) riders to Goostrey Village Hall, HQ of the renowned Macclesfield Wheelers Open 25-mile time trial in good time for them to be in position to marshal for the first rider off at 1400 hours,

Logistics and a cool head would be needed, neither could we countenance a single puncture or missed turn, nor the trauma of any delay in the food and drink delivery department. In the event, our cafe partner of choice, High Legh Garden Centre (soya milk available but no vegan margarine) stepped up to the plate, all 10 (No.) riders rode well and we delivered said 2 (No.) riders Phil and Nigel plus Sue from the Larkling ride to HQ at 1315 hours, having completed 51 miles at an average of bang-on 15.0 mph.

Hope to have a hilly ride next week, weather permitting. Back to 10.00 am start for next two weeks, then changes to 9.00 am from 4 May for the summer
