Easier Training ride @ 10-2-7 13th Feb

It should have been 9 of us but for the main event it was seven ( the easier training ride @ 10-2-7 wasn’t easy enough for two of the starter’s last night) 🤔

When Andy bailed at Siddington to do his own JAB ride (just a beer) followed by Carl at the Three Greyhounds it was left to yours truly Fred W to do Andys favorite job shouting up “steady”. Carl’s told me his leg’s felt like lead, going back up Pexhill mine felt like mercury. Having a solo ride up your correspondent cant give a first hand account, but having interviewed a couple of the participants the provisional result at the top is 1st Ant🥇, 2nd Chris🥈, 3rd Fozzy🥉. By the sound of it it was a bit of a photo finish so that may well be disputed.

Jim, Bennett and Boothy also rode well all evening. It was a well disciplined chain gang with no missed turns and we cracked on making the best of the still air. The road’s were a bit messy and to avoid Congleton Lane we did the Bate Mill option and near Jodrell Bank as chance would have it we came across the JAR ride also heading back via Lower Withington. After the change of pace at Bate Mill we were really moving again by then and a couple of JARer’s joined us for a mile or two. Notably Alison slotted in well 💪 and we look forward to her joining the 10-2-7 ride again soon.
