6@6 Training Ride 28-October

The weather forecast was right and the rain had stopped for the start of the training ride at 6pm.

It was still a bit blowey heading down Pexhill and through Goostrey to Byley after which we had more of a tailer than anything pretty much all the way to Chelford. After all the rain the roads were well and truly wet and the puddles on Congleton Lane are nearly all the way across, I don't know when they are classed as flood’s but they were easily passable last night.

Thanks to wind assistance yours truly managed to hang onto Rich going up Pexhill a bit further this week. It was hardly comparable with Monica’s bronze medal last Sunday but Jill took third place, hanging on to Colin who was on his third outing with us until the last couple of hundred yards before the line then jumping past him. Experience counts😎.

Last up and Lantern Rouge in our group which was second off was Andy, by the time he crossed the line the first group were already halfway down their beer’s celebrating Boothy’s birthday 🎂🍻. The birthday boy with Ant, Christian A and Chris S had a good smoothe 4 up round the circuit doing through and off all the way back to Broken X.

Andy and Ant had been doubter’s for turning out on what didn’t seem to be a very promising night. In the end they both were glad they’d made it and thats normally the case, especially this time of year. It was great to have two group’s again, let’s keep it going.
