Wednesday Club Run to Alsager

Roundabout route to and from Alsager

With yellow warnings of snow, hail, sleet, ice, wind and rain, OK- well maybe not for wind, it was a bit doubtful whether Wednesday's Club Run would go ahead, but working on the premise that the weather forecast seems, more often than not, to err on the side of severe weather, six of us (Chris, Dave, Pete, Steve, Moray and Raph) set off from South Park only to stop half a mile down the road to don an extra layer.  However the threatened rain never really materialised as we explored a few more country lanes on an approach to Alsager from the south.  The route home via the centre of Sandbach explored a few more rural, and sometimes flooded, lanes on the Cheshire Plain.  Overall good to find a weather window for a 55 mile ride at about 13 mph with 2800 ft of climbing.
