Saturday Club Run To Betley

Prompted no doubt by the fine weather we had a good turnout at one o clock.

Actually it wasn’t quite as good as the forecast as there was a shower whilst we were in the cafe, but never mind it was perfect timing.

Dave and Nigel made welcome returns to the ride after time out recovering from their different operations. Andy B was back after a few weeks of on international duty, also in the supervet category Greg and Roger (and me I suppose). Rachel, Alison and Janet might have been in the Women’s category but their performance was as strong if not stronger than some male categories. Great riding💪.

It was a sort of counter intuitive route back which was a bit challenging for Garmins but no serious navigational errors. Through Wheelock and Sandbach then through the lanes to Holmes Chapel. Mark R was on loan from the MTB ride and he led the charge up Pexhill, I stayed with him as long as I could frightened by a terrible noise behind me, some sort of man or machine huffing and puffing and blowing out of every orifice😤. Then it all went silent when Andy R turned of at Dark Lane.

The fredcam doesn't lie so you’ll spot Simon S and Mark H pops up, Phil’s there but was a bit camera shy and Simom R was the invisible man.🎬
