Saturday Club Run To Millers Dale

Nine of us headed into the hills at 1-0-clock

Roger and Greg took a more direct route up to the Cat and with perfect timing the rest of us; Fred, Joe, Mark, Andy, Woody, Pete, Dave and Nigel, met up with them as we emerged from Buxton Old Road having briefly stopped at Standing Stone to assist a cyclist with a broken spoke.

Then it was over Axe Edge and down to Earl Sterndale by which time it had started to rain a little and Roger and Greg were no longer with us. The rain at any rate definatley wasn’t in the plan.

After the cafe stop we headed back up to Wormhill and things were brightening up but then nearly half the personnel went missing again on the short climb of the main road near Taxal. But there was no getting out of the climb up to Charles Head before the descent of Bakestone Road, through Bollington back to Macc.

Things then brightened up even more when Roger and Greg popped up in the Old Ship Inn. Surprise Surprise.
