Sunday Training Ride: Snake Pass

Seven Wheelers set off on an epic training ride over Snake Pass on Sunday.

This ride had been on the agenda for a while and given the good forecast the conditions were perfect. A decent tempo was set up the Brickworks, which continued through Chapel and Edale.

Unfortunately Rich had to turn back home at the bottom of Winnats Pass to let his wife back in the house after locking herself out! Matt went back with him, looking slightly jaded after a big night out on Saturday. This left Dom, Steve, Jo, Simon and myself to ascend Snake Pass from Ladybower.

Making the most of a tailwind and working well as a team we all managed very respectable times to the top, before returning via Rowarth. Overall a top day out and a well deserved shout out to Jo H, who has ridden well the past two Sundays.

I’m away the next two weekends but the ride will still go ahead. Rich has kindly offered to lead next Sunday and will put the ride on here and Facebook.
