Wednesday Club Run - Marton

A few hills to start with followed by a tour of Langley, Gawsworth, Capesthorne and Alderley Edge

With the temperature hovering just above freezing the possibility of ice was a bit of a concern however this proved not to be an issue.  Indeed low cloud and gusty winds proved more of a challenge on the Pym Chair and Ankers Knoll climbs before the descent to the Cheshire Plain and a circuit of Langley, Gawsworth, Capesthorne and Alderley Edge.  With Alison opting to take a direct route home and Darren opting to return to Macc, four of us (Chris, Moray, Steve and Raph) continued to the Chapeau Cafe  (The Old Barn) Marton for lunch.   Good to get a 50 mile ride at this time of year at an average speed of 11 mph and 4400 ft of climb.   Happy Christmas and a Happy pedalling New Year to all.  Raph
