This week Simon G, Jen, Jim M, Kirsten, Greg, Mike R and Sue left South Park together with the Larks, who soon disappeared into the distance.

We had blue sky and some sunshine for our ride out to Alsager, Hall Farm Cafe, arriving just before the Larks. We all enjoyed our lunches before we set off to complete our ride home.

Cooler, with a little wind on the way back, however we soon warmed up with a few hills up to Mow Cop, the group then decided they would prefer less hills to climb and so Simon navigated a flatter route back to Macclesfield, missing out Biddulph Moor. Riding along the track, Kirsten had a puncture, after a quick inner tube change by Mike & Greg we were on our way again.

We rode well together, stopping as required to regroup. Great to have Jim, Jen, Mike and Greg with us for their first Larkling ride.

Garmin reported 50 miles, 2719 ft ascent and 2568 ft descent with an average speed of 12.11 mph.

Thank you to Chris for organising and to Simon for expertly leading us, another very enjoyable day.
