Saturday Social
Note to self… fewer hills = happier Saturday Social riders :-)
Four were out for a much warmer ride out around Gawsworth, Marton, Siddington and Redesmere.
The weather forecast hadn’t been great, but there was no rain in sight for this week’s Saturday Social. Somehow, I still managed to get splattered with mud in the short ride out to Sutton Hall - definitely no one else’s mudguards (or lack thereof) to blame on this occasion though.
Four of us cycled out from Sutton in a 20 mile loop via Gawsworth, Marton, Siddington and Redesmere. It was great to welcome back new member Lisa for her second Saturday Social. This week though, there was a notable absence of aggressive drivers, much to everyone’s relief.
On the way back, Redesmere provided an unplanned photo opportunity while Gawsworth John dealt with a puncture.
Kudos to everyone for cycling the whole way up the 16%er at Fools Nook - no walking required. Coffees and hot chocolate back at Sutton Hall provided the perfect end to a lovely ride.
Out today: Lisa, Kirsten, Becky and Gawsworth John.
