Thursday Extra Easy Ride to Jodrell Bank

We had a hot and sunny inaugural Thursday extra easy ride.

I borrowed John's Garmin which turned out to be much more reliable than mine (successfully broken now). I navigated Jim and Sarah along some rather busy Mobberley lanes, across Marthall crossroads, and then along a peaceful track to Stocks lane.

Jodrell Bank cafe was quiet and shady, and we very much enjoyed our coffees, cold cans and cake. The route back tackled Batemill hill, the temperature was heading for 29 degrees, and we really welcomed every bit of tree shade. We were back by 12.30pm, having completed 20 miles at an average speed just under 11mph, and a lot of chatting about gardening, cooking and bikes!
