Can you ride 100 miles in 8 hours? This event is open anytime over this weekend!
100 mile club special event. The challenge is to ride 100 miles within 8 hours elapsed time. Timing will be recorded by your navigation device, and you will need to deselect the “pause whilst stationary” feature. Once you have completed 100 miles you can stop the recording and send me a screenshot or link to my email. On Sunday evening I will collate the info, and create a roll of honour listing all participants and results whether inside the 8 hour window or otherwise. There are no fixed cafe or foodstops, you will have to decide and manage that taking into account the time limit and any mechanical or traffic stops.
the route starts at South Park and ends at Broken cross. Please stick to the route - riding up and down the A50 all day won’t count! Note the following points:
You don’t need to end at Broken cross, but wherever you reach 100 miles stop recording and submit your evidence of your ride.
If your ride is equal to or over 100 miles and within the 8 hours it will count as a pass
If it is under 100 miles it will be a fail
If it is over 100 miles but over the 8 hours it will be a fail.
There will be a guided ride departing South park car park at 8am on saturday, but you are welcome to ride the route any time over the weekend.
100 miles, 3600ft, around the Cheshire plain, avoiding the most congested areas, level crossing etc. It all on-road with potential food stops at Wybunbury, Audlem, Malpas, Tattenhall and Tarporley
