Training rides info + discussion

Are people going?

Haven't been in a long while due to injury - but are lots of people still going to the Mon and Wed night training rides?

Still leaving at 7:00?

At this time of year - is the Wednesday ride any different than the Monday one?

Would like to go this Wed, just don't want it to be like the last time I went and be the only one there!

First Monday nighter in a long while for me last night.

The weather was good and I decided to have a good ride up to the start, do the ride, and ride back to Holmes Chap.

I was nicely warmed up from the ride up Pexhill from Holmes Chapel when I met up with the group, they had just started.

Good steady pace and good discipline was maintained.

The road surfaces are absolutely horrendous though! I hit a pothole really hard on the run in to Alderley Edge and I could feel that the rim on my rear wheel had been flat spotted :(

Still, carried on regardless, when we parted ways at broken cross I absolutely caned it home as I was feeling good.

The result -
My average power for the 2hrs 45 minutes was more than I could sustain for an hour 3 months ago.
The 3 Races have clearly had a benefit to my fitness/speed.
I need a new rim... Took the wheel to Rick Green's today and it couldn't be trued.
