Easy riders try another new cafe

Postby Katherine Jackson » Sun Dec 06, 2015 4:34 pm

Continuing our experimentation with new cafes, 11 easy riders played out today, we lost our bet with the forecast and got thoroughly soaked on the way to the cafe. Our new cafe this week was the 'All in One' garden centre at Allostock, one rider turned off and 10 of us made it there, including several new faces (at least one being an escapee from the Saturday ride). Fortunately the cafe was relatively warm and although rather smart with waitress service, had the sort of shiny leather chairs which can be dried off after dripping wet cyclists have sat on them. We had a leisurely lunch whilst we dried out and found some much dryer weather to cycle back in. Martin is now trying to decide on next week's destination, could there be another new cafe out there for us?

I'm sure I've been there a number of times. Is it still signed Wisteria etc?
Used to occasionally visit it with Maurice & Jean!

AKA Mr Grub Street - whatever that implies!

It's now called the Seasons Restaurant at the All-in-One garden centre. But it was previously listed in the cafe map as Wisteria Cafe at Hills garden centre. We haven't visited it before on the Sunday rides, probably due to force of habit and because there are so many other cafes nearby.

The Saturday ride turned up there en masse a few weeks ago.
