Saturday "Intermediate" Club run

Is there room for a "intermediate" group on The Saturday club run?
It could Set off just before Simons group following the same route by GPS & get to the café first, eat all the cakes, warm the seats & be off again just as they arrive :-D

Intermediate in what way?
Faster, slower or just leaving at a different time ?

There was talk of an (even) slower group, in which case my group would be faster.

But it all depends on numbers and willing leaders. Certainly you can use my routes, but there had better be cake left at the cafe or there will be consequences !

Yesterday on Simon's ride I ended up with 82 miles door to door at a average of 17.5mph. For long periods we were above 20mph. The fast group were just leaving the cafe as we arrived, the seats nice and warm and cake stock visibly depleted. Just saying!

Faster group did a similar mileage with an average of over 19mph. ICF was very busy when we arrived but the usual slick service saw us fed and watered very quickly. We did think of buying up the stock of cakes and resell them (obviously with a modest "administrative" charge) to Simon's group but decided to eat them instead. 8)

Average of 19mph !? no wonder I could'nt get near the front. Went with the fast group by mistake as I was thinking steady/recovery ride after a running race the night before. Best mistake I ever made, great afternoon. cheers for leading it Dave.
