Easy riders brave the weather to High Legh13 easy riders set off from Lindow this morning, after continuous rain for the first few miles 4 turned back. The sun then came out, and the remaining 9 made it through one puncture, in the sun, followed by a rainbow, then hail. A lengthy lunch stop was enjoyed at High Legh garden centre, a strategic spot of Christmas shopping on the way out meant we avoided a brief attempt at snow. We made it back well before 3pm and avoided the really wintry weather. Martin led the ride, and I looked after the back, not entirely by choice. After 3 weeks off the bike and a cold, it proved rather a challenge to keep up. It was great to see Alan back, and to meet newcomer Vicky. Paul Griffies was also back after a 9 week break, spent helping wife Alison and daughter Abi refurbish and decorate a building for Abi's beauty salon. We cycled just over 27 miles, at a slower than usual average of 12.4 mph with a lot of head wind and some heavier winter bikes. See you next week!
