Club ride to avoid the wedding! 29/04/11

Great ride today - Simon struggled on his Sherman Tank up the hills, Chris entertained us with tales of Harrod's employment in the 70's! Me - I cut the cake - not wedding just a scrumptious Date & Walnut bargain from Carsington Water :-D

Sounds all a bit cosy!

Graeme Smith, Dale Langham and I completed the Peak Audax 200km Winter Solace Audax BP.

Even experienced Audaxers can make mistakes. I had a route blindness abberation in Ightfield and led Dale about 8 miles astray, so finished up with 135 miles in less than 9hrs riding time.

Chapeau! I came in a little over 10-and-a-half hours, after having to swap to the bigger fixed sprocket with 30k to go. But first 200 - and the furthest I've ever ridden.
