Dave takes a tumble

Postby admin » Sat Apr 23, 2011 9:44 pm

Dave Werrell was taken to hospital by ambulance after hitting a pot hole near Brownlow. He has a couple of broken ribs and a few cuts to arm and face.
Everyone on the club run wishes Dave a speedy recovery.

Dave,

Get well soon. Glad to hear that it is not your shoulder you had the operation on.

Although broken ribs is bad enough!!!!

Yes also glad to hear it was ribs not shoulder.

Dave I'd advise you to go back and get your bike pretty quickly. The guy who took it in picked it up and said 'blimey, that's lighter then my bike pump!'. Think he'll be pricing it up on eBay as we speak!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery

Dave is back home feeling a bit sore. He picked up his bike today, therefore no bargains on eBay :( He wishes to thank his club mates for all their help and best wishes. He hopes to be on the bike again soon. :-D

Dear Chums
Why do I keep falling off!!! A beautifull warm sunny easter saturday club run..wobble wobble wobble off...didnt see any pothole. I can barely remember anything from the wobble to dear wife Maureen calling at Macc A+E to say 'not again!'. Somebody sat behind me..thanks. Many cuts and bruises, lump on head, broken ribs, severely knocked right shoulder not broken thank goodness but very bruised and painful and now the main ongoing problem, cracked bone in pelvis made walking difficult even with walking stick but just about ok now..am driving (safely honest!). I cant wait to get back on the bike but not likely for a couple more weeks yet.
Many many thanks to all who helped ease the suffering.
Dave (Werrell)

Glad to hear you're recovering Dave and thanks for getting in touch with me at the weekend.

We're all really pleased to hear that you can't wait to get back on your bike, our rides wouldn't be the same without Diesel Dave! :salut:
