club 10's

Postby Kev » Fri Mar 06, 2009 10:42 am

Hello All,

I saw yesterday that our beloved council is repaving part of the course we run the club 10's on. Now (hopefully) all the bad pavement on the left as you go down the first big hill will be no longer a hazard.

This does beg the question, when do the club 10's start? I have heard rumors mentioned but nothing has been posted on the website as of yet. I look forward to seeing everyone out there!

Repairs that they have made don' t look that good. Surface looks very lumpy . Still won' t be much fun riding your TT steed at speed over the repairs.

Regarding the topic of scant road surface improvement etc., mentioned by Kev, I have been told today by Cheshire Highways that re-surfacing, to cover the next 15 to 20 years, is to be scheduled for early September.

This will entail closing the road for 4 days between Lowes Lane and the vicinity of Gawsworth Crossroads. Notices about diversions may appear some weeks earlier to enable users to 'plan' accordingly. When the work does begin and the road is closed, beware knowledgable motorists using 'our' lanes and driving at inappropriate speeds!
