Interclub 25 TT Tuesday 23rd June a message from Mr Bags on the facebook.
Hi all, the first of this year's two Interclub 25 mile time trials saw a total of 24 Macclesfield and Congleton riders, plus 12 guests, turn out in windy but dry conditions to compete for the annual Karl Austin Memorial Trophy.
The event is run over two legs, the fastest 6 times from each club counting.
With some strong Wheelers performances, notably from Chris Quin recording a 56:56 and finishing overall winner on the night head ahead of Congleton's Ben Norbury by one second and his club mate Steve Hulme, the only other rider under the hour (57:27). The Wheelers hold a lead of over 8 minutes going into the 2nd leg. Our 2nd and 3rd placed riders, Dave Hughes and Alex Taylor aren't available for the 2nd leg so come on all you Wheelers lets extend our lead and reclaim the trophy back we lost last year.
We need marshals on the night so if you're available for light duties please turn up at the AZ car park at 6:30pm this Tuesday. First rider off at 7:15pm.
