TT awards - significant changes to qualifying criteria

Postby dharbott » Tue Nov 04, 2014 8:49 pm

At the AGM yesterday there were some significant changes made to the qualifying criteria for some club Time Trial Awards. These changes should make these awards far more appealing to you, the membership. Get out there and compete for some in 2015:

• Club Championship Trophy (BAR) now based on 10, 25, 50 TT.
• Ladies BAR now based on 10, 25 & 50 TT.
• Veterans BAR now based 10, 25 50 TT.
• Allan Clarke Senior Trophy now based on 10 & 25 mile TT.

Note: BAR (best all rounder) is a very prestigious award within all cycling clubs.

Check out the club handbook for details of other awards available in 2015.

Surprised it doesn't include a 100.

It doesn't include a 100 because the likely future winners probably haven't got the necessary....
Everyone I know in the Wheelers has ridden a 100 miles, no problem, what's wrong with folk? Every other local club still has the national criteria for the Bar. It wouldn't surprise me if we became known as Macclesfield Wimps.
