The Finish is in Stoke at the estimated time of 13.45

After watching the race go over Gun, it should be possible to ride briskly over to Stoke in time to see the finish.

But a pretty demanding one. The best chance of getting to Stoke on time is to follow the race off Gun Hill and when you join the Macc Leek road turn right and go through Rudyard and Endon. That misses out most of the hills.

I'm up for this, at least for the Gun Hill bit. I'm not sure how 'briskly' I might be able to get to Stoke though.

According to my Outlook calendar, I have to be in Leek (at a client) in the morning and Stoke (with another client) in the afternoon. I suppose I may as well go by bike and hope not to get sidetracked.

So, who is interested in meeting up for this ?

I would suggest 10am at the Fermain.
This will allow a pleasant jaunt which ever way we please on the day, maybe even a pub or cafe stop along the way, as opposed to a mad dash before they close the road to the top of Gun Hill.

It would be good if those who are in possesion of club kit, to wear it, as there's a good chance we might be seen on telly (not that I have any aspirations for fame or anything of the sort :-D ).
