Cyclo Cross

Macclesfield Wheelers latest Cyclocross outing across the border into Lancashire .
First off was young Robert Rowson in the U12. A fast start was soon slowed down by thick mud and a silly spiral which forced riders to collapse onto one another. Then a voice from the pits(Greg) shouted
"Get off Robert, put it on you shoulder and run." After this sound advice Robert managed to pick off 5 riders. He later went on to finish 6th.
Second out was Rowson senior (Mark), who got off to a flying start and was third into the first corner and managed to hold on and finish 10th position his best placing of the season.
Now to the captain Mr Mathew Lawton who arrived late and was told to go to the back of the grid. Matt elected to run on the blow of the whistle and ran around the field of riders followed by a textbook 'cock on'. After 2 laps Matt punctured but was quickly supplied with a new bike by Pitt boss Greg. Matt later went on to finish 2nd.(brilliant) :thumleft:
Good all round result for the wheelers.

A great report Robert, well done.
An excellent Wheelers result in what appears to be a right Mudfest.
