Riding my VTT to Hayfield . Towards Rosy's carrot cake. Spot of sunshine displacing my winter season malady. Probably still be able to find some mud though. Leaving Fermain at 13:05.

Eleven MTB riders took the flat Middlewood route from Fermain via Lyme this Saturday in what turned out to be an epic day out. Dry, sunny weather and an appreciable tailwind lifted the spirits as we passed through Furness Vale and on up Chinley Churn. After traversing the ridge and descending to the edge of Hayfield those enlivened spirits persuaded an extra loop to be added- the fabled Kinder shooting cabin no less.
Our return leg was via the scree drumlins into Bugsworth Basin and then through Hockerley and the top road back to Lyme. Much Doffings and welcome to new member Paul. Also present were: B Ren, Foz, Gordey Low, Lawless M, Lawful S, Nigel Flown the nest, Rascal Wrangler Ruth, Richard Socks, Secretary Rowson and not forgetting special guest for one night only Stretch Mikestrong .
