Wednesday Night training ride October 1st

Postby Mickoc » Mon Sep 29, 2014 7:13 pm

Wednesday Night training ride starts this Wednesday October 1st at 7:00pm.

Start Broken Cross Car Park.

The passport to this ride is you must have mudguards and a flap on your back mudguard. Do not even think about turning up without them. You will not be welcome!!!

See you Wednesday.

Hi Mick,

I'm new to these parts, what does this training ride entail?

Cheers,

Paul.

Hi Paul,
It's a group training ride, for Macclesfield Wheelers, of approx. 30 miles . Pex hill - Twemlow - A50 - 7 Sisters - Warford - Artists Lane - Prestbury - Tytherington .
More moderate pace than Masters of Universe Thursday training ride but still in training ride format.
Mudguards required , Proper lights required .
Etiquette : Moderate pace, make sure we stay as one group, shout up the potholes, wait for punctures, no charging off at junctions - make sure everyone has safely negotiated junction before pacing up again, if your riding at the front on your own and no one's joining in you are going too fast! and pause at the Wizard to regroup and return together. Natural comfort breaks NOT to be taken in the car park.
See you at Brokencross this Wed.

I could not have said it better Malc.

The most important thing you forgot is that we go to the Ship drink beer and talk up how fast we went

See you all tomorrow.

And no dazzling flashing rear lights - put them on steady!

Here's a late report from Wednesday night 15 October 2014 AD (from a man who not only wasn't there, but has never been there) - just one rider braved the rain, the heroic Rob Maxwell.
