ITS BACK- SUNDAY training ride

Postby Mickoc » Mon Dec 16, 2013 6:52 pm

Back by popular demand !!!!!!!!!

First Sunday ride will start Sunday January 5th 2014 at 9:30am.

Start from Fermain.

Ride will be 50 miles to 65 miles depending on the weather conditions. No cafe stop.

The only rules are that your steed must have full mudguards with a flap on the back mudguard.

Don't even think about turning up without the above. You will not be welcome

So fill your boots over the festive season. The real training begins January 5th

Knew my Sunday lie in couldn't last. Now all I have to do is fit a mudflap! El Capitano is too polite to mention that we ride together with everyone taking turns at the front. No Strava heroes, please.

When the going gets tough. The tough get going. 5 riders turned out this morning. Two of these were ladies :salut: :salut:

55 miles in the bag. Home for 12:45pm. Job done. No mishaps.

Where was everybody else

I have already had one note why Johnny could not come out to play.

See you all next Sunday :salut:

Mick.

Please excuse Brian for the next few weeks as he's playing out on his bike in the mud.

Great ride avoiding early morning ice and just getting back before the rain, couldn't fault it a circumnavigation of Cheshire with two young girls for company

Despite the cold & frosty start. 10 riders turned up at Fermain this morning.

57 miles completed. Knutsford loop. Met with rising head wind as we turned for home round Tatton Park.

Full marks to everybody :salut: all doing there turns into the wind.

Lot of tired legs going up Col de Pexhill but the group all stayed together to Broken Cross :salut:

Chapeau to you all.

The weather gods smiled on the 10 riders that turned out this morning.

Dry and sunny with the ocassional puddle  to ride round.

59.3 miles completed. Average speed 16.9 mph. Acton Bridge Loop. Ride captain for the day that famous italian rider Roberto Forsterelli.

Again part of the group 2 ladies :salut:

Well disciplined with everybody taking their turns on the front.

Home for 1:00pm and that included a stop for puncture.

Chapeau to you all :salut:

See you all next Sunday.

70 miles for me as well. Good route devised by Roberto and well disciplined ride. Could have done without the **** in the Range Rover who decided that he would rather drive on our side of the road than get his car wet :(

22 riders turned out this morning  for the classic Sunday ride Nantwich and back.

Weather was good. nice and sunny and not quiet as windy as yesterday.

Outward leg to Nantwich meant riding into a brisk headwind.

Some new riders learning the art of going through on the outside due to the large numbers out

At the turn at Nantwich the wind god was favourable. Speed went up pushing over 24mph in places.

We even managed to sweep up a full kitted up sky rider riding a full carbon cannondale with full winter mudguards with a flap.
He was so impressed he joined our merry group contributing with turns

62.8 miles covered 17.2 mph. Home for 1:00pm

Chapeau to you all :salut:

Hope to see these numbers again next Sunday :thumleft:
