Hilly or Flat

Postby Paul Roman » Thu Aug 31, 2017 9:28 pm

Would it be an idea if the leaders of Saturday and Sunday rides liaised with each other so as that both rides were not either flat or hilly ?

Sorry Paul, while you were typing that, I was just planning a ...hilly ride. Sounds like a good idea in theory, although what happens in practice in my department is that I decide where to go depending on the weather, ie if it's fine, I'm more tempted to head for the hills, particularly in the 'summer', and then it gets later and later and I run out of time planning or recycling a route, long after I should be tucked up in bed (eg now). It's also complicated by the fact that I am trying to widen the pool of Sat Club Run ride leaders and must allow them some autonomy. [More ride leaders wanted - it's such good fun that I want to share it].

Anyway, come with us this Sat, it's only 40 miles and under 4,000 feet of climbing and you managed a similar ride admirably when we went to Hartington not long ago. Route here:
