Three Peaks

Just having a look on Wheelers site.... I can't believe that no one has yet mentioned Matt Lawtons brilliant ride yesterday to finish in 6th. A fantastic achievement. Also, as a team - the first three counting, the Wheelers were 4th overall. So well done to Marcus and Mark [Rowson], also, and especially as it was Marks first attempt. When you look at the pro outfits who take part in this event, then 4th is - as Cav would put it - INCREDIBLE! Well done to Brian, Simon,Ruth,Mark B. and Colin too. Chapeau Chapeau Chapeau :salut:

Chapeau indeed, I put the result on my FaceBook page this morning, its one of the best Wheelers placings ever in the event but if memory serves me right Tim Taylor took 5th several years ago

Ahh not seen that Team Results sheet before. Interesting. Slight correction though, Simon makes up the top three as he was second best placed wheeler.

Fantastic acheivement 6th and he decended PYG 3 mins quicker than Rob Jeb scarry stuff. Was in 4th coming of Ingleborough only 2 mins behind Jebby suffered in the head winds on the road section and was passed by a group riding together, back to 10th going up PYG but came down so fast got past 4 riders and held on the the road to the finish. Think was one of fastest riders from top PYG to finish 17 min just to put in perpective was 10 mins quicker than Buxton Bleet who is no slouch when decending.
JohnnyB don't forget Ruth won the ladies event in 1996 !!!
